I am a junior Broadcast Journalism student with a minor in Religion in the Media. I lived in the island of Jamaica for 17 years and now take permanent residency in Dix Hills, NY. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and building relationships with people in my community.
I am a member of the CitrusTV cast as a reporter/ personal assistant and comm.UNITY, an organization that creates a way for media related students to act as advocates for neighbouring non-profit organizations.
I work part-time for the school's Student Center's and Programming Services (SCPS) in the subdivision of Information and Events Planning (IES). Here I plan events for designated organizations.
I am also actively involved in my church both in Long Island (Dix Hills Evangelical Free Church) and at school (Campus Crusade for Christ and Baptist Campus Ministriy). I lead a small peer group with members who are interested in developing a personal relationship with Christ.
In pursuit of my career goal, I would like to start off being a news reporter then later specifying on religious events coverage to ultimately producing my own religious talk show.
